I happened to notice that the holidays have ended. My son went home to Texas and the apartment feels emptier without him (a mixed emotion if ever there was one). I even took down the Christmas tree and stuffed all that winter magic back into storage boxes to hide til next year. I've been a little at a loss for what to do the last few weeks. Mostly the boring bits of getting myself settled legally in Cali. I loathe bureaucracy
I did start playing Inquisition and so far I like it. I haven't killed a dragon or met my Hawke, but I'll get there ^_^ I've been writing a lot for my book, making edits, and working on my fanfic from DA2. I also have Strange Companions part 2 coming along, hopefully to post before the month is out. I started doing yoga again (YAY!) and watching my carbs. It's a new year, after all, and I can't make do without some sort of resolution to break in the coming months.
Work is mad as always, and I feel lucky on the days I can manage a lunch break without coming back to a pile of squawking students. I love my students, I do, but oh my god . . . self-sufficiency! Read about it! Develop it! facepalm
I am reading some lovely books: Through Wolf's Eyes and The Codex Alera (makes the train ride home so much nicer). I'm always up for good book suggestions if you know any I haven't seen the last Hobbit movie yet, so I'm thinking I may have to turn in my nerd card. Please don't tell on me Other than that, it's life as usual. I treasure the days Darn and I have together, and muck through the ones we don't. He is, as always, my best critic, fan, advocate, and friend. It's almost a year we've been married and I find new things to love and respect about him every day.
I'll leave you with a song I can't get out of my head
