Belisarius wouldn't tell them precisely where they were going but he did tell them it was better than a day's walk into the Wounded Coast. The Tevinter was very quiet as he led them, staring down at his dusty boots. Darktown was the same as ever: dirty, noisy, and impoverished. Fenris watched where he stepped down here - any clod of dirt was as likely to be excrement as it was anything else.
